About the Game

TwistedFates:LUCAS (intro.LUCAS) is Luke’s origin story, following his descent (ascent?) into madness until he escapes the Corruption and founds the Rebels with Terry and Gale.

At its core, TwistedFates:LUCAS is a visual novel with some easter eggs. The player takes on the role of Luke, a lethargic hacker with very limited time to interact with technology in a technologically advanced world. Something is haunting him relentlessly, infesting every device he interacts with in an attempt to reach him—but thankfully, a mysterious inner voice is ready to protect him.

The Vibe

As with all my work, intro.LUCAS is going to be a fun, down-to-earth blend of horror and humor. Office workers may find kinship in the captives of late-stage capitalism from their frustrating work conditions to the very helpful coffee machine AI pestering them. And then there's the haunted technology problem that follows Luke wherever he goes—

—Ah! That's an eldritch entity trying to reach him, you say? …Huh.

The Rating

• Strong Language: Strong language in the form of the infrequent f-bomb.
• Flashing lights/photosensitivity warning: As the game develops and more special effects are added and polished, there may be flashing lights/colors and other such effects that may trigger seizures, etc. in players with photosensitivity and other related conditions.
• Body Horror: The characters will undergo many grotesque transformations that some viewers may find disturbing.
• Cognito Warning: To know of It is to invite madness. To know It is to find clarity.

Cost & Distribution

TwistedFates:LUCAS will be broken down into episodic releases, which will be uploaded to itch.io and TwistedFates.Net. Distribution specifics may change over time. The game will come in two versions: Orientation and Clocked In.

Orientation (Free)

Orientation is the free-to-play demo of the story, which will include the entirety of Episode 1. This version is perfect for people who want to get a general gist of the story.

Clocked In (PWYW, starts at $5)

Clocked In is the deluxe paid version of the story, with the completed story (all episodes + bonus content) and other rewards. Purchasing this version supports development of TwistedFates: LUCAS.
